Less than 2 weeks to go!

I can't believe that the real count down is on...the past few months have been so busy that I almost forgot about this blog :).

We leave 2 weeks from yesterday - the suitcases are sitting in the bedroom; tomorrow I will start packing the things that must go to Hawaii but have no utility at home - at least not in March (bathing suits, sandals, snorkel gear, etc). Since we will have a washer/dryer in both of our timeshare units, we are committed to packing light and not paying any inflated baggage fees to the 3 airlines that we're flying. It's carry-on or bust! At least that's the message prior to packing!

All travel documents are printed; cars are rented, hotels in LAX and Waikiki booked for the nights in transit to Ko 'O Lina on the west coast of Oahu, and new guide books have arrived. Excitement prevails here and at the Fiori's house (Ellen, Mike, Carson and Nicholas). They are spending a few days in San Diego on the way to Hawaii; we are all leaving on April 2nd.

We've also spent an evening with Gayle and enjoyed talking about our favorite places in Kauai. She will be joining us in Honolulu and flying over to Kauai and staying there with us.

Shopping for and cooking for our Passover Seder will take up most of the coming week, so travel days will be upon us before we know it.

As much as we love traveling to new places and seeing new sights, we also enjoy going to places that we love and showing them off to family and friends. And, after this difficult winter, we are soooo ready to lounge at the beach and by the pool and........
